I'm Nancy S Barasch, aka, The Digital Diva.

I have been taking photographs seriously since 1976 when my father gave me an Olympus OM-1. Shortly after receiving this camera I attended my first photo class. This self taught class commenced during the year I traveled through Europe and lived on a kibbutz in Israel.

Along the way I have had many teachers, taken numerous workshops, and traveled to many other parts of the world.

My keenest passion is to photograph flowers especially using my Macro lens. There is nothing like the morning after a hard rain when I can capture water drops on flower petals and leaves.

Honestly, I resisted going digital for a long time. But once I got use to the difference from film I love it. The ease of travel with digital was the biggest turning point for me. Not having to carry loads of film is such a pleasure. Besides this convienience I found I was having so much fun manipulating my images.

I have been working with Adobe Photoshop since version #5. Just when you think you've got it, they go and upgrade and add more tools. It's a lifelong learning project at any level.

The Digital Diva was created because I enjoy helping others and sharing what I know. I want to teach people to feel more comfortable with their digital cameras and using their computers.

Being creative is my passion and what keeps me going.
